The Ann Arbor District Library has a "seed sampler" program which lets you check out up to 5 packets of seeds.

"Spring 2026 seeds will be available at each library beginning April 1. A second release of seeds with later planting dates will be available on May 1!"

@ai6yr Apparently the Sacramento Public Library has them too, at 18 locations, and you don’t even need a library card: https://www.saclibrary.org/seeds
