Sadly, a very good friend has just passed away. Tying to work out when is the best time to have the 'dead men don't need season tickets' conversation with his widow as there are some very big games coming up.
@fesshole - A little Morbid.

@fesshole

You don’t. She will need the refund.

@fesshole I can't even with folk like this. 🙄 "Sadly" indeed.
@fesshole FOOOOOOOPPPPBAWWWWLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!
@fesshole Probably after the funeral
@fesshole Remind her not to give in to grieving cliché and turn his side of the room into a shrine. It just doesn't work.

@fesshole Suggest she use the ticket, and experience something her late husband enjoyed? Take her to the event(s) and help her grieve for your "very good friend".

Decent Human Being isn't a lot to do.

@metaning hear me out … and during the game, talk about how you and your friend loved going to tha games, and how much you miss going with him. There will be tears - if you can’t cry yourself then pretend. And towards the end, tell her that going to the game really helped you with the emotional agony of losing a close friend, and that it’s a shame that his season ticket will now be going to waste. She might offer you the ticket. Or you might have a new friend to go with (his widow)
@fesshole the best time for that conversation is ... never. obviously. don't be selfish.
I wouldn't worry much - if he was a thoughtful friend, the issue would be explicitly solved in the testament
@fesshole offer to buy them off her?
