HEINS HOFFMAN-RICHTER
Music To Freak Your Friends And Break Your Lease
2023 U.S. Ltd. Edition Reissue
Pewter With Black/Gray Splatter vinyl

A weird choice for a quiet Sunday morning, but I was in the mood for it.

Originally released in 1974, this was touted as “A Symphony for Tape Delay, IBM Instruction Manual, & Ohm Septet” and was credited to “recognized raconteur, genius, composer, musicologist, conductor” Heins Hoffman-Richter.
The liner notes informed the listener that Hoffman-Richter “died from an ear lobe tumor”. 😂

This of course is all very hilarious &complete bullshit as the real artist behind it is renowned cult musician and poet Rod McKuen.

Featuring no real songs or traditionally structured compositions, this bat-shit crazy record is McKuen’s very own Metal Machine Music.

If you like wild and weird #electronic music, #experimental sounds or #musiqueconcrete this may be for you.
