I’ve altered my father’s lightweight rain pants to fit me. It took a while, but was an easy fix. 🧡πŸͺ‘β˜”οΈπŸ‘–βœ¨

The sides are French seamed to prevent fraying.

I think I’ll make a carrying pouch with the cutoff parts. It’ll come in handy for hikes. πŸ˜™πŸ‘Œ

Made the carrying pouch. Also unnecessarily French seamed. πŸ€—πŸ§΅πŸͺ‘✨

Btw, I used my pajama pants for a reference for resizing.

I thought about adding the side pockets with the leftover cutoff part, but the rain pants might not stay up if they are weighed down. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… so I decided not.

Perfect fit. Rain pants. πŸ€—β˜”οΈπŸ‘–βœ¨ I’m wearing them over the sweatpants. Very comfy, and warm.
I guess they’re good for snow, too. But pls, universe, no more snow till next winter.
@otterX I would debate you on that "unnecessarily" - fabric like that frays like crazy and makes a mess!
@sbourne haha… you’re so right about that!
My supposedly designer (Kipling) backpack is not even that well constructed, and fraying by the zippers. But these I just altered and made will last my lifetime for sure. πŸ˜‚
@otterX Perfect! And every time you use them, you'll see those excellent seams and thank yourself again!
