Back in May 2019, we said goodbye to SVN and Bugzilla and migrated to Git and GitHub [1]. Since then, we accumulated 188 repositories. 🙀

We're now making a list to decide which ones we're moving to @Codeberg and which are going to be archived and left behind.

While we're doing that, we signed NLnet Labs up as a Codeberg e.V. member!

@nlnetlabs sucks ti have to migrate again but kudos and thanks for making the right decision in the face of *gestures at world*
@nlnetlabs Thank you very much for the support! ~n
This is a very good decision!
❤️ Welcome!
@nlnetlabs @Codeberg
Hi @nlnetlabs @Codeberg,
great! A small step for NLnetLabs…
Please bear in mind, this is not a 24/7 55555 corporate-industry-hyperscaler-grade service, but a nonprofit. Consider additional public mirrors, ideally including one on your own soil, maybe also #ftp tarballs. Let's curb our #expectations, prepare ourselves a bit and thus be the next generation internet of distributed, cooperating people and services.

@mro @Codeberg Thanks Marcus, we we did our research and planned ahead!

While we manage six major open-source projects used by corporate-industry-hyperscalers and home users alike, we are a tiny non-profit ourselves with only 15 staff. Our expectations are well tuned…

Also, we have our own, dedicated server for our runners all set up. We intend to overhaul our package building and publication too. Looking forward to the migration process!

@nlnetlabs @mro @Codeberg To add to this, we also still mirror to GitHub, so that the code is still accessible when Codeberg is down.
@nlnetlabs appropos I can recommend using forgejo-actions instead of woodpecker. Also very easy to add your own runners (as I have done for performance runs)
@miekg @nlnetlabs Why do you recommend forgejo-actions over woodpecker? So far I have only tried forgejo-actions, but still plan to try out woodpecker. Maybe I don't have to

@themozzie @nlnetlabs found woodpecker to be odd compared to gh-actions, also adding a woodpecker runner was very hard, compared to forjgejo-runner.
forgejo-runner also is almost like gh-actions

docs could be better though
