@stonedonkey @donni It's all a bit H2G2 - I feel like I am stranded in that airliner waiting for a delivery of lemon-soaked paper napkins that will never arrive as the airliner is sitting in an abandoned airport on a post-apocalyptic planet.
"The statistical likelihood," continued the autopilot primly, "is that other civilizations will arise. There will one day be lemon-soaked paper napkins. Till then there will be a short delay. Please return to your seat."

Trying quite desperately to preserve what's good from those times.
Ren & Stimpy complete series, a man's gotta have priorities.
Was not happy back then either, everyone was happy because the cold war seemed over but i did not buy it, still was in a cold war fatalistic mood.
Being right about that in retrospect was not very satisfying either, i'd like to think i'm not that easily fooled ...
BUT NOT ON THIS SCALE !!
Why I love the 90s: technology was fun. And since it was pretty much only nerds using it, it didn't suck yet. Letting the masses onto the Internet ruined it.
The music. I'll just say 70s-90s were peak music. And peak humanity perhaps.
Most software was a one-time fee. To hell with SaaS. And subscriptions in general. Not many of those in the 90s!
