@verymetalsite @donni I was in my teens. While I was deeply depressed and nearly didn't make it, it was also the greatest time before enshittification, and now, I'd appreciate it immensely.
Trying quite desperately to preserve what's good from those times.

Was not happy back then either, everyone was happy because the cold war seemed over but i did not buy it, still was in a cold war fatalistic mood.
Being right about that in retrospect was not very satisfying either, i'd like to think i'm not that easily fooled ...

Why I love the 90s: technology was fun. And since it was pretty much only nerds using it, it didn't suck yet. Letting the masses onto the Internet ruined it.
The music. I'll just say 70s-90s were peak music. And peak humanity perhaps.
Most software was a one-time fee. To hell with SaaS. And subscriptions in general. Not many of those in the 90s!
