We have had an extremely mild winter too. Most years we get at least a bit of snow, but not so far. Although, one of our biggest past snow storms was over spring break, so there's still time. Not that I'm looking for snow, mind you! 😂

@LibraryFinch @firephoto There's snow in the forecast for the beginning of next week, but they've been forecasting rain lately and that hasn't happened either.
@mlanger @LibraryFinch I don't trust the snow forecast but it would melt within a day if it does. Last year nothing really came up until the end of March and I planted on the same date, might be sooner this year.
@firephoto @LibraryFinch This would be really early for me. I usually don't start planting anything until the supermarket starts selling vegetable plants. I don't plant from seed very much anymore.

I love planting from seed, or at least the idea of it. Growing from seed can be very challenging though. I am now only doing it for things we really like, that can't easily be found as starts.
There's a Brazilian pepper that's really nice on salads. They are little and you can just pick them and plop them right in your salad after a bit of a rinse off, if needed. I've got about 6 of those started now. I'll be lucky if I get 2 full plants. 🙂
