I entered my name in a drawing for a small JCB. I work in web design and have never driven a JCB, but it is fun to imagine doing so while making "brrm brrm" noises. The wife was unamused and unimpressed. I tell myself she loves me and the JCB won't. But I still covet the JCB.
@fesshole You entered your name in a drawing?
@Eetschrijver @fesshole yes, and then a lot of words that state that the fessor wants to drive a big truck.

@Eetschrijver I'm guessing English isn't their first language or they're AI & "drawing" means something like a raffle

@fesshole

@staringatclouds @fesshole I actually DO think English is their first language. Everything else in the fess points in that direction.

@Eetschrijver I see what you mean, it's just a very odd choice of words

Drawing could mean a lottery, raffle or some other competition where something is drawn as opposed to a drawing of something

It's like they used a thesaurus just for that one phrase

I'm leaning towards AI

@fesshole

@fesshole Side note for those who are not British, and/or might be unfamiliar with the term 'JCB': while JCB is the name of a manufacturer of heavy equipment and agricultural machinery, it's colloquially also used as a generic term for diggers and excavators, similar to how some regions refer to photocopiers as 'xerox' machines, even when not produced by Xerox, or how bandaids usually aren't adhesive bandages produced by Band-Aid anymore.

JCB (heavy equipment manufacturer) - Wikipedia

@fesshole

For the non-brits: JCB is a British manufacturer of heavy machinery, so the term is synonym for a small excavator over there.
