@jonsnow I'm sticking with 10 until Steam bricks, then I will be forced to figure out how to get my Linux to connect to the interwebz (it used to fine, then at some point, it was like, nope, no interwebz for you!).

Most of the software I use is like 20 years old+ anyway. I was still using Win7 up until about 3 years ago when I got donated my cousin's PC. My plan was Windoze for games and Linux for everything else, but I couldn't get any of my main programs to work on Play on Linux so I had to resign myself to Windows being my main and I use Mint's ssd for backups.

@SilverArrows @jonsnow Same here, more or less--I use Linux on my daily driver (an ancient desktop), but audio software on Linux isn't quite up to snuff yet.

I had to edit the registry in Windows 10 to stop it from downloading the Windows 11 update. Windows 10 isn't great, but it isn't using all my system resources to generate data and train AI so Microsoft can increase their stock values with my processor and RAM.

Goddamn I hate Microsoft.

@clonedhuman luckily my PC is "not compatible" with 11. But I did have to keeping telling win7 on my crappy old netbook to not install win10 with every update. It could barely handle 7.
