House construction: this was the part that had us all the most nervous. Dropping the last ~100kg piece of stone bathroom floor into place with like 0.7cm of clearance all around. Went as smoothly as it could have, though.
Floor (and partial wall) complete. Tomorrow we measure for the remaining walls.
As a side note, those red disc things (leveling clips) are frickin' rad, and I can think of a bunch of times I would have really liked to have them in the past.

@steve I learned about those recently from a lovely Canadian couple on YouTube whose work I follow that have been renovating a mid century modern home:

@steve I am not normally into that super veined marble look but I have to admit it looks glorious in that setup!

@cloudthethings it definitely looks better in person, photography kinda flattens it.

Normally pretty skeptical of it as well, but this particular pattern looks very much like microscopy images of neurons that Jen uses for research, so that sold us.

@steve that’s a lovely detail - I’m really enjoying seeing all the personal touches you’ve put on the place.
@steve grain matched too💰beautiful
@steve do you have a wood window in your shower?
@ekiwi it’s well away from the shower itself (that space is about 6’x10’), but yeah.
@steve I used to live in a rental with a window that was right next to the shower head. I guarantee you that there is mold under the window sill and the blinds the landlord put in had completely rusted.
