So I just stumbled upon this. And mind you: I know nothing about Hermitcraft, I don't know the person being talked about here at all. Nor do I know the person talking about them. However...

God this video pissed me off. I could go on for hours about whatever the fuck that was that played on my screen visual wise, but I'm not going to. It's what I heard that annoyed me the most.

 Chat member:  "Hey dude, I never hear you say anything about LGBTQIA+ people... could you say trans rights?"
 Streamer: "Uuuuuuh... this channel is about vibes. Not about politics."
 Reacter: The chat member is asking in bad faith. It's a trap question. Trans people are a hot topic. It's not transphobic. No MaTteR wHaT hE sAid, PeOplE wOulD bE Mad!

I'm so fucking tired of this shit. Because what this streamer is basically saying is: I don't want to risk driving away the 'phobes from my community. Fuck that nonsense. I'm so tired of the whole "apolitical" shit. I didn't choose to be trans and be hated by a bunch of deranged assholes, they chose to hate me! You can't fucking have it both ways, when you choose to not say anything about that, you are always choosing them over me. They made me a hot topic issue! I didn't ask for this!

fucking hell i'm pissed. it just happened to fall on this video, but it's just the straw that broke my back. lives are being ruined, rights are being destroyed, all because some assholes decided to ignore reality and start hating a group of people, and instead of protecting the victims of this hatred, we're cuddling the the perpetuators and telling the victims that they complain too much. i have been thrown under the bus my entire fucking life for one reason or another and i can't fucking take it anymore

@purplerabbit "#Apoliticalness" is a stance, and it usually can mean only one of two things:

  • "I'm a privilegued asshole who loves kicking people under the bus and can't be assed to show even a bit of spine!"
    • Which is basically applying to anyone who isn't stuck in a murderous dictatorship that'll publicly execute them for having any integrity.
    • So if they are from the #USA or #EU / #EFTA, that's where to sort them into!

OR:

  • "I am stuck in a murderous dictatorship and I know that if I make a statement I'll be dead!"
    • Which only really.applies to fols stuck in hellholes like #KSA, #Iran, #Russia, etc. where anything campaigning for #LGBTQIA* & #HumanRights is suicidal…
    • Certainly western devs don't have that!

It's not enough to discomfort #TERFs / #FARTs and other #fash & #sexist scum!

  • One needs to literally yeet them with any means legally possible…
    • That includes firing them and banning them for all the right reasons!!!

Even fucking #Microsoft was able to get a grip on that re: #Minecraft, yeeting all the "#Notch" references because his words and actions - espechally post-acquisition of #Mojang - made him a net negative!
