I often imagine lasers coming out of the ends of my toes, cutting holes in nearby furniture. I assumed everyone did this so had never mentioned it to anyone before, but my partner insists no-one else does it. Surely everyone does though?
@fesshole Sort of. Not lasers but something shoots out of my feet and disappears into whatever it hits.
@fesshole of course, this is normal
@fesshole isn't that what happens at the end of beauty and the beast?

@fesshole I'm not a psychologist, but this sort of fantasizing would probably be classified as a harmless expression of OCD, obsessive compulsive disorder.

For example: https://askthepsych.com/atp/2008/01/24/preoccupied-with-lines/

@fesshole Sorry, this is a new one. Never heard of this before.
@fesshole It's totally normal for some people. Too bad your partner isn't some people. I'm personally not some people either. In fact, I guess most people aren't some people.
@fesshole Never heard this specifically, but shitloads of people think about silly stuff. I sometimes imagine my eyes making squeaky sounds when rotating and blinking. Like when you clean glass. Humans are weird. Your partner included.
@Jonas @fesshole Fun fact: I’m told by people who have been in actual fully soundproof and anechoic chambers that eyeballs, in fact, DO squeak!
@whybird @fesshole This is equal parts fascinating and disturbing, giving me a whole new start to my day. Thanks! 💖
@fesshole no but I used to shoot a laser out of my fingers in the car and (helpfully might I add) prune peoples overgrown trees and bushes whilst narrowly avoiding their fences
@fesshole Takes the pressure off the socks?
@fesshole I do this with my fingers, now I'm gonna do it with my toes too
