Let's become ungovernable. Simply type the emoji in text.
While you're at it, include emoji that do not exist.

I'm not sure I've ever intentionally used an emoji. Some software automatically replaces emoticons with emojis, and I know I've been bit by that when moving fast. But intentionally? I don't think so.

@ChanceyFleet Haha I use :blob​cat​heart: (blob cat heart; I used zero-width spaces both to separate words and to stop it from converting that to the actual emoji, hopefully that made it readable) in chat software that doesn't have custom emoji all the time, and we're sighted! Just typing the emoji code.
