Observation: Google is currently the biggest spreader of phishing mails, Cloudflare hides/hosts the phishing sites these mails link to. That's the simple truth on my mailserver since a few weeks. And yes, I manually report every single one of them to no visible avail.

@jwildeboer @homelab : but we will ban your home mail server because of spam!
@ploum Has never happened to me in my 20+ years of running my Mailserver :) Knock on wood. @homelab
@jwildeboer @ploum @homelab is there an option for mere mortals? I’m a FED comfy in the terminal, but don’t want to add a new part time job in admining.

same. i do all the SPF/DKIM/DMARC, DNS/rDNS, watch sending rates, etc. but i've been running a mailserver for 30+ years and not been "banned" yet.

have sometimes wound up with 4xx responses (usually greylisting) but it all eventually gets delivered.

I have been running my own mail server for 6+ years now. Except for few bad choices for hosting (double cGNAT at home so cannot host), in the past, I have now settled down very well. I will soon reach 10 years and will be happy for it.

@jwildeboer @ploum @homelab Microsoft refuses to accept mail from my server at Netcup. I regularly check if it is listed on a blacklist but everything looks fine.
