@maxleibman Am I the only one who actually hates perfume free soaps? I remember my mum buying Sanex and how much I hated it for
1. Smelling like ass and,
2. Their cringe ass, triggering advert with all the naked people swaying. Thing could literally have been the largest orgy ever filmed if not for the no sex.
Gimme rose petals. Gimme lavender. I like smelling nice instead of smelling like a thin skinned meat sack.
@juliamon @CottonCandyandRazorblades Don't wear perfume (or not the amount you think you need, one gets used to the smell and then overapplies). I have a colleague whose office I cannot stand to enter...
OK, better than the guy I used to share an office with, who had serious body odour problems.
I sweat a lot in hot weather. I change shirts during the day then. Sometimes more than once. I also do a quick wash then or even shower. Scent would just make me smell like sweaty roses...

I must say I like when my laundry smells like one of those artificial scents and I even bought a bottle of some kind of laundry parfume because my vegan ecological washing powder hardly has a smell and the scented conditioners aren't vegan. Somehow my brain is conditioned to only find laundry really nicely clean when it smells somewhat like the very scented washing powder I know from my childhood and not "neutral". I use only small amounts, but there has to be a little bit of "clean" smell.
I especially hate the "natural" smell of soap nuts. They smell sour, not clean.
Does it go in the BrainWasher?
@fuzzyspoon @david_preston @maxleibman i stopped using those tide odor control pod thingys because when you use cold water they don't melt all the way and end up as semi-plastic blobs stuck to your clothing. and if you don't notice until it's been through the dryer then it's even more fun.
it does rinse out with warm water but it’s a pain in the ass.

I switched to an Eco Egg solution about a decade ago. No more consuming laundry detergent every wash!
The balls (spherical or ovoid plastic) contain 2 different types of pellets, and one set needs to be replenished every so many washes.
The pellets can be scented or unscented.
Currently using one from https://aecodune.com/ (Provence, FR)
I deal with the residual stink on sweaty clothes, by adding antibacterial laundry cleanser (Sanytol or generic) in the fabric softener drawer.
