Diary of an AuDHD Squirrel. Day 841 , Sunday 15/02/2026

Sunday started fairly early at around 07:30 in the very AM!

Had to get my chores done before we set off for a visit to my brother, his partner & my niece. Which was followed by a family meal to celebrate 4 family birthdays that happened in the last couple of weeks.

The weather was a mixture of dreary to awful. Yje high point being going across the moors this morning which were covered in a blanket of snow - very scenic it was too!

Had a great time chewing the fat at my brothers & then had a nice plate of gammon, eggs & chips (fries to our American contingent).

Went back to my sisters for coffee & birthday cake before heading home.

Got back fairly early as Mrs S was tried having sat in the car then sat in the restaurant then sat in relatives houses.

Final Thoughts.

I enjoyed the day although I know Mrs S would have preferred to stay at home reading / catching up on her TV shows. Hey ho.

Thank you to all those who are helping me on this journey, in a myriad different ways. I am thankful to each & every one of you! πŸ«‚ πŸ«ΆπŸΏοΈπŸ––

@Tim_McTuffty @autistics chips was not confusing ..but the word Gammon was ? Aging affects some ... look at it as it keeps you younger for others ... πŸ˜‰
@Lstn2urmama @Tim_McTuffty @autistics Gammon is a specific cut of pork that I have not had in a long time, but certainly have enjoyed in the past! I think it was one of my most common orders when eating at a pub - which was my typical eating-out location because British pubs now are most often effectively casual restaurants focusing on traditionally plain British food, meaning I can almost always find something to eat in a way I can't assure almost anywhere else! (These days I don't eat out because I'm #StillCOVIDing and indoor dining wasn't always worth just the sensory risk let alone the infectious disease one...)
@shinybat @Tim_McTuffty @autistics totally understand the covid thing had for the last few years ... and still not sure what kind of pork gammon is ...
@shinybat @Tim_McTuffty @autistics OK got it ... looked it up and is a raw meat cooked to be Ham ... after cooked name changes πŸ˜‹

@shinybat @Lstn2urmama @autistics Morning David πŸ‘‹πŸ˜Š

Precisely!

I’m leaning heavily on my covid jabs to keep me safe & yes being among all those people is a lot!

Hope you have a good day! 😊🫢 πŸΏοΈπŸ––
