UK House of Lords just passed the bill to age verify vpns, the exact regulation would be decided after the bill passes.

To get around this, pay for Mullvad VPN bc you can do so over tor with monero.

If you're connecting over tor and not using your bank card, how is mullvad supposed to know they should verify your age? They won't.

I've talked before[1] about why anarchists should consider using private cryptocurrency like Monero and I feel vindicated now

I like Monero (XMR) the private cryptocurrency, as leftists we use currency and its pointless to be purist about that. Monero is a private and open source cryptocurrency, usually cryptocurrency has a public ledger where every transaction (amount & sending/receiving address) is publicly viewable Monero is different it obscures the amount sent and sending and receiving addresses As an anarchist I can think of many ways this can be incredibly useful toward the aim of dismantling the state you will have to use your imagination As long as we live in a society with currency individuals should have a right to privacy. No one gets involved when you make everyday cash transactions, I just believe this should extend to digital transactions too. @ambiguous_yelp Good point. Mullvad + Monero is one of the few remaining "sign up and pay with zero identity" flows. The chain is: XMR → Mullvad account number, no email, no name, no traceable payment. Even acquiring the XMR P2P (Cash by Mail) means no exchange KYC in the first place. The UK age-verification bill will struggle against this combination.
