En route to work.

FYI - almost anytime I go out in general public wearing face masks I get flurries of both - Why the hell are you still masking? and Where can I get your gaiter/face covering?
I always mask up. This isn’t new. This isn’t changing when almost no one else masks up & has decided to normalize #Covid.
People with disabilities are lockdowned from societal understanding because people who stopped masking up -> lack empathy & don't believe they'll ever be as disabled or more disabled. It's foolhardy, at best.

@PhoenixSerenity

I've masked since the beginning of Covid (actually, since masks were obtainable after the beginning) and I've never had someone question me about it in public. Partly due to where I live, partly due to personal characteristics.

My non-nuclear family members still ask when I'm going to stop at every family gathering, though.

@richpuchalsky @PhoenixSerenity people have sometimes asked me why I mask or where I get my masks, but I've only been harassed maybe once, and everyone around told the harasser to fuck off and mind his own business

On top of popular eugenicist hostility, we also have Black COVID-precautious people who are dealing with houselessness & police harassment thanks to structural abandonment from white maskers. The “community” practices an informal Jim Crow & it's ensuring Black people are at further risk.
