@InternetEh Battle of Athens, August of 1946, folks took on the police due to issues of police brutality, corruption, and intimidation. Many people continued to not like or trust police afterwards (or as my grandfather used to say, "If you got a problem, don't call the cops cause then you have two problems), and seeing those sentiments more openly embraced, like the person replying in your third image, is nice.

I'm just used to seeing at least a couple times a year news stories about the national guard inciting violence and mowing down protestors with "non-lethal" weapons that leave protestors seriously injured, so its very jarring seeing them do the exact opposite. Kinda like seeing heath ledger's the joker volunteer at a children's hospital. With the current state of politics you kinda have to wonder what on earth could possibly happen next.
