This is my attempt at a XKCD style this year:
"TTL PART NUMBERS"
@RueNahcMohr that's ignoring the rounded "B" that also could be an "8", so people keep not finding the part on account of getting it wrong
@MisterHW @RueNahcMohr
There should only be two possibilities for the last character, B and 8 (for BGA and 8-pin DIP).

@FritzAdalis @MisterHW and speed rating!!!

The things ya think of after a post...

@RueNahcMohr @FritzAdalis @MisterHW don't forget RoHS, functional safety class, and extended temperature!
@gsuberland @FritzAdalis @MisterHW and I totally forgot the manufacturer prefix!!!
@RueNahcMohr @FritzAdalis @MisterHW packaging suffix, too. gotta know if it comes in a tray or reel!
@gsuberland @RueNahcMohr @FritzAdalis @MisterHW And the -Q1 for automotive quality rated.
@gsuberland @RueNahcMohr @MisterHW
I'd add rad hardening, but I think that's 5400 series.
@RueNahcMohr Mikrotik pales in comparison
@RueNahcMohr A diagram captioned "TTL Part numbers", of the string "74AHCTJW11DL6K1G00LPB" with substrings labeled:

74: 7400 series
A: Advanced
H: High speed
C: CMOS
T: Special threshold
J: Credits to Jhonny
W11: Windows 11 compat.
D: Runs Doom
L6: Linux Kernal 6 OK
K: Typo
1G: Single Logic Black Version
00: Funcion ID
L: Loadless
P: Plastic package
B: BGA

With the op's signature of "RueNahcMohr 2" in the lower right corner.
@RueNahcMohr you left off "N" for (hilariously) "no pins"
@RueNahcMohr This is going up in the lab at school.

@seanwbruno doodle "SN' infront of it as a manufacurer identifier, and '100 -15' for the ball count and the speed rating.

:]

@RueNahcMohr I assumed that was password construction.
@RueNahcMohr WTF! Now that password is gone!
@RueNahcMohr Is the function id 00 or ØØ? The whole thing is cursed either way
@shantara @RueNahcMohr two zeroes, so it's NAND GATES in a BGA package, probably with a pinout that allow you to create complex logic with this even on a two layer board.
@GyrosGeier @shantara well it can run doom, they dont call them the universal gates for nothin.
@RueNahcMohr
I'm just on the edge of this community where I get the joke, but I can't quite tell where it switches from setup to punchline.
@jcdyer as are so many XKCD and @NanoRaptor graphics!
Alexander Knochel (@[email protected])

@[email protected] haha you had me until W11

A community for scientists and science communicators.
@RueNahcMohr it's not the PB at the end that marks no lead?
@kabel42 na, plastic ball grid array :]
@RueNahcMohr looks like my DNS zones's serials numbers
@RueNahcMohr always doubt if last L is for leadless or low profile (.9mm)
@RueNahcMohr One can only assume you work at Sony
@xenonchromatic hah, oh no, its a sony.
@RueNahcMohr I call it password generator
