No rational person would do this
@Natasha_Jay hat Well it's not a rational number 😄
@Natasha_Jay
You mean put the decimal point after the 1?
Yes!
Absolutely!
String the bastard up!
(Joke)
@Natasha_Jay
One must first transcend…

@Natasha_Jay I would, just for the fun of it.

Also, the digits are correct. I only wish they went on for five more, for that would be the first fifty digits of pi.

@Natasha_Jay @lisamelton
Rational people are overrated. They always just end up repeating themselves.
@inthehands @Natasha_Jay @lisamelton @mynameistillian Considering my experiences with the "Rationalist" movement this is spot on actually. 💀 Maybe that's why they're called that way.
@Natasha_Jay I would, on the other hand, knock on the door and ask for a slice of blueberry! ;)
@Natasha_Jay
These eviction papers have a number printed to 32 digits, but this home is clearly located at 37 digits…
@Natasha_Jay Missing the (decimal) point. 😂
@Natasha_Jay hard to be completely irrational about it though.
@Natasha_Jay Does this hotel host circonferences? Maybe they r2 popular to easily book.
@Natasha_Jay I think that is rather good !! I laughed out loud 😁🥂
@Natasha_Jay @fembot Certainly looks irrational to me, but need proving.
@Natasha_Jay But we're everywhere…

@joschtl @Natasha_Jay

For the record: I hope they started writing with 59. From this angle, it looks like either a 5 or 9....

@voorstad It's in the image description 😃

@Natasha_Jay I've seen a large DIN A1* -poster, covered complete with Sub-Comma-numbers
of π,
in a math-teachers-room
😄

@Natasha_Jay irrational people for irrational numbers
@Natasha_Jay It might be irrational, but it's also transcendent!

@Natasha_Jay Let's get real though, this whole image is not natural. Have some integrity!

(I'm sorry lmfao)

@Natasha_Jay at least they know how to keep it real 😊

@Natasha_Jay

In college as an personal fun extension of my intro to programming class (using Scheme) I ended up calculating the first million prime numbers (not primes less than a million, I had a million primes).

I had my computer CPU (I can't remember if it was my AMD K6-2, or PII that I brought to college) pegged for hours and hours. And actually I fully crashed it from overheat at least twice. And eventually had a box fan and a lot of cardboard ducting, putting my entire dorm room AC through an empty case blowing directly on the CPU cooler.

After I got them, I formatted them (with some more Scheme) into a text file(s).

Then I printed them all out (it was I think something like 300 pages) on the free campus printer (that you had to SSH into) and wallpapered a good bit of my dorm room hallway with very small font.

It ended up creating a race to see who could calculate that list fastest, and one rich kid who dropped $$$ on a new CPU and a gig!! of memory.

@Natasha_Jay Hmmm do I see an attempt here to square a circle ?

@Natasha_Jay

Ah, but I would wish to have done! 🤓

@Natasha_Jay @Kooda its completely irrational.
@Natasha_Jay Rationality is overstated. This is awesome. 🥧 ❤️
@Natasha_Jay I can’t believe I haven’t thought of this myself; I’ve been living on number 31 for 3 years now … I must be losing my geekness

@Natasha_Jay Clearly not rational, have you seem the price they charge per digit at the hardware store?

;-)

@Natasha_Jay
There was a fence in Ngaio, Wellington, New Zealand, on which the top of each fent was formed into a shape encoding a digit of Pi.
It's gone now, I looked.
@Natasha_Jay Maybe the occupant welcomes random people coming round?
@Natasha_Jay it disturbs me that they didn't put a dot after the first 3!!!

@Natasha_Jay

i am not rational. i am imaginary.
.

.
.
i AM NOT A NUMBER! (sorry, had to add that one! My apologies to Mcgoohan)

@Natasha_Jay Let's celebrate the irrational, especially regarding beloved PI ❤️
@Natasha_Jay I'm sure it's a constant reminder.
