LionelBThe Jubilee line was supposed to be the Fleet line but was also squatted by royalty.
Ag@lionelb @losttourist @jon It’ll always be Crossrail for me, and it’s still Fleet Line in my brain or Jubbly if I need to explain to others. None of this royal twaddle. I remember in late 1970s there was a sign at a Highbury & Islington platform that still showed Fleet Line long after that name had been usurped. A wry smile each morning.
One day we will put all the names right 😎
