Want to develop your own chat app that works via Bluetooth, Tor, and pigeons? Or do you want to extend Briar to work via LoRa, Wi-Fi Aware, I2P, WhatsApp, whatever? Or Android is constantly suspending your app in the background?

I've written down some pointers to Briar's source code and research with pieces to start with. Inspired by an amazing #39c3, because sharing is caring.

Sharing is caring: pointers to Briar's implementations

Sharing links to Briar's implementations of Tor, Bluetooth, memory-card support, and more.

A single dev with vibecoder claude as contributer does not spark great expectations at first sight. Also Zerion is associated with crypto wallet/trading stuff, another red flag for me. Trademark issue or related to blockchain? Snifftest looks not to promising for me. Website sells "On fdroid" as if it were "obtainable via" is a bit of an exaggeration. Adding your repo to fdroid client is not the same as "on Fdroid". Misleading by choice?

@Nerdwolf Several developers have worked on this project, but developers stay anonymous. claude has only been used for audits and code review, which many developers do.

Have a own repo same as Molly.im and zerion also on play store.

@zerionchat
So basically you are saying "Trust me bro", ignore the Crypto/wallet link and brush over the anthropic vibecode (listed as contributer in git) for a platform that should provide a trusted environment for activists, journos and such. I dont get it.

@Nerdwolf You can check the code on GitHub yourself and audit it yourself. Zerion Messenger is separate from Zerion Wallet; whoever believes in it uses it in due time, and we will grow.

On github you will not find any claude commit or tag.
