@doraii @LightTheUnicorn @lusrangifer There's also elinks and w3m, and I can never decide which one is best.
(Not that I use them much, but I do test that my websites work with them.)
To date, every time I've heard of Floorp I assumed it was gibberish. But you insisted. So I checked. And now I can't participate in my meetings because I'm cackling. I hope you're proud of yourself.

I was sure that it was either going to be fake or some techbro scam. But no, it just looks like a midsized open source community out of Japan with a sense of humor.
Sometimes the world is ok.
[2 days later]: "We regret to inform you that Floorp is built by fascists"

I was thinking it's either about pee on the floor, or it's something a mattress does.
Mattresses are friendly, dim-witted, docile creatures capable of speech. They are all called Zem and live in the swamps of Sqornshellous Zeta. Many of them are slaughtered, dried out, and shipped around the galaxy to be slept on by grateful customers, though they do not appear to mind this, one noting that since they are all called Zem they never know which of them have been killed anyway so their concern and grief - "globbering" - is kept to a minimum. No one really knows what mattresses...
@duckwhistle @lusrangifer @pikesley
Joke's on you, I used floorp for the past couple years until very recently!
@duckwhistle @lusrangifer @pikesley TCF Consent Box on the first screen, where they could comply with the GDPR by not engaging in advertofascist tracking at all in the first place.
<Plonk>
@lusrangifer Pfft x3
Unironically I'm actually curious about what different ones bring to the table. So far only one has actually been unique, and I wanna play with it more to see if I vibe with it enough to stick or bounce off anyway.
@freshstart In my Debian based MX-Linux, without going out of the default repos:
IceCat: No
Zen: No
Librewolf: No
Pale Moon: Yes (33.9.1)
SeaMonkey: Yes (2.53.22)
K-Meleon: No
Floorp: No
Of course, all of them are easily installable, I think. I'm just answering the question above.
@cb @lusrangifer Is not now possible to use say a 3rd party app store to uses software that aren't governed by Apple?
My memory is a little foggy but I recall that being a thing.
All aboard the Floorp!
@lusrangifer Everyone worries about this but basically it's the ideal scenario: choice and lots of different approaches.
The big fail is that these teams don't necessarily have a common backend project to cooperate on security and web standards, and that's entirely Mozilla's fault IMO
