Reporting after two weeks of using a new #Fairphone6. No issues so far.

Everything works as it should, I am really happy with the device!

The battery life could be better, but I enabled some bells and whistles like 120 Hz & always-on display. I have Syncthing, Tailscale and Immich working in the background as well. I could optimize later.

I wonder if I maybe I can somehow make it back up nightly to my local #BorgBackup repository (without rooting the device, I don't want to fumble).

@unfa is true that it lags a bit here and there? does it reboot often? i'm highly interested in getting one for christmas 🎅
@jibbolus I haven't had it reboot on its own even once so far. Also, I haven't experienced any unexpected freezes or crashes. Only some expected ones with me pushing some specific software too far, but the OS itself feels stable. So far so good, I hope it lasts. I have used my previous phone for like 8 years. It was a OnePlus 5T. I expect FP6 to live at least as long. The OnePlus still works. Just the battery drains too fast and it's become too slow and cramped to be comfortable (no sd card).
@unfa I'm sure it will! Thanks for clearing out about freezes or crashes. I'm very impatient and when the software doesn't support me I get really frustrated. I know... first world problems 😂
@jibbolus I totally get that. My mind is very chaotic and if the devices I use cannot keep up with me, I really suffer. So far, no experiences of that kind with the #Fairphone6. At least none of note. #FUTO Keyboard's voice typing is very fast, and I can use larger models for better accuracy as well, which I'm really happy with. I can also use #SherpaTTS for nice quality text-to-speech. GlaDOS is a particularly pleasant voice to use, so I feel like that is a bit slow. I will try a slimmer model.
