Sometimes ease of use is the way to go. I have been on a quest to find an easy #Linux OS for the kiddo to use on an old Asuspro laptop. Last night I downloaded #Kubuntu Focus.

Hot dang, this install and setup was a breeze. With a few clicks I was able to install #Steam and #Minecraft.

The kiddo is gonna be pumped once he finds out that #Subnautica is installed. #dadwin
@jlw_the_jobber I’m trying to do the same thing, but what’s been holding me back is finding a way to run Minecraft Bedrock on Linux. Is that what you did, or did you install Minecraft Java?
@gryphonwandering I installed Java. There are ways to get Bedrock but the ones I have found required buying the Android/Google Play version of the game.
@jlw_the_jobber Ah, gotcha. Wish I could install Java, but the small one is wedded to Bedrock and the store add-ons (like Actions & Stuff).
@gryphonwandering Same here. On my kiddo’s main pc, he has Windows 11 just so he can play Bedrock.
