[P] I think I understand now why Esoteric Ebb clicked with me where Disco Elysium really didn't. In DE's world, being a creative, plural, "dysfunctional" person is a recipe for defeat, disaster, depression, and substance abuse. I can't say how true to reality that is, but it isn't what I'd want out of that. Have you ever experienced Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol comic run, or the TV show? It's kinda pertinent.

[P] I like Ebb so much more as it's with me on this ride. It wants to explore, not disparage. I'm sad, as I realise that Ebb won't be as popular as DE. I know this as people soup has its tribal biases. "How could a creature like the cleric enjoy life? Surely they're "lonely," they're unwell with these voices in their head. Wouldn't they be happier as a square peg?" Eh. What is, is. I'm just glad that Ebb exists.
