First time was kind of fishing confusion - 'please remind me what this is for', the second time was straight accusation - 'what have you done, I never asked for this'. So it's destroying value, scrambling minds and wasting everyone's time even when it's working properly!

I had a research manager once, called me to his office, dropped my research report he asked for into the waste basket in front of me, told me he didn't have time for this and to send him no more than a 5 line summary in the future. Needless to say, he wasn't qualified for his position and probably skipped his college chem classes. Big corporations are horrible places to work.

Good tools you might otherwise go to Adobe for.

They got bought by Canva who have switched it to an all-in-one, completely free product. Which sounds doomed tbh.

Fortunately the previous versions have a single payment license so they never expire.

If a picture is worth 1000 words, a vid is worth 10k. They can manage a YT channel for free from a phone. There aren’t good ways to manage a website for free from a phone. It seems a wise business & marketing approach.

Because there's a search engine you can use that doesn't have AI, but you have to pay a subscription for it. The more I go searching for stuff just to have some AI give me some fucking idiotic repeat of my question as an answer I get all considerate and shit.

For now, I search with DuckDuckGo, which lets you turn off AI stuff even if it does lean heavily on Bing, so who knows how "pure" it is in practice.

I do use duck duck, but I'm one of those people who just lets his computer continue doing stupid shit once it starts because constantly figuring out how to fix new problems got boring (because they're stupid problems) and they just break immediately again anyway, especially if you are also one to use a browser that specifically deletes everything when you quit.

I use it as well, but I have been crying about DDG turning Ai on very often, and this also means that since it's turned back on, the results are a bit off as well.
Sigh.
