What #Poilievre failed to mention is that foreign aid is actually a *defence*, because without helping poor countries we risk their government reaching out for assistance to our opponents like Russia, who may well install armed forces putting us at risk.

For us, the canary is coral reefs, and they are now dying.

But where can we go? We can’t escape the “coal mine” we live in.

We have to stay on Earth. There's no running away to Mars, a ridiculous Tech Bro fantasy that will never happen.

So we're stuck here, with each other. But there is some good news. We *can* help each other.
