@mark_f_lynch @davey_cakes I've had project managers question my work twice now because they've clearly not written or read the brief they sent me. First time was kind of fishing confusion - 'please remind me what this is for', the second time was straight accusation - 'what have you done, I never asked for this'. So it's destroying value, scrambling minds and wasting everyone's time even when it's working properly!

@nske @mark_f_lynch I know someone over an engineering firm where the board is planning to ban LLM usage because people keep wasting everyone's time with absolute bullshit.

Embarrassing enough internally, but in front of clients!

(And yeah, laziness isn't new, but laziness with rocket boosters attached is)

@mark_f_lynch @nske @davey_cakes I think it might be this that saves the day, that once "real economy" businesses who actually care about what they're spending money on, start to realise that LLMs simply don't work, and you'll end up with a critical mass of 'we tried it and it made us look like idiots' will building up.
