I guess I have a bad luck again.

I wanted to import 20k of photos and videos from Google Takeout to my selfhosted #immich. I used recommended immich-go, but it failed misearably. It fucked the dates, photos can't even be opened, they are in incorrect order, etc.

I wonder if I did something wrong, or it's a problem with my machine, because right now my "#homelab" is Dell Wyse 5070 with external hard drive connected via USB.

@djvdq @zeitkapsl we keep updating our google takeout importer every other week because Google again decided to make minor changes to the format. It is a never ending story. Takeouts look different based on the country you are at, language you set, features you used, date you created your account, … just to name a few we have seen so far. It is a total mess.

I am really surprised how they get away with that regarding #gdpr.

@djvdq many years ago when i did my takeout I created albums and downloaded the albums. That worked for me.
