Our storage and compute costs just went up ~35%.

For us, that’s not a small adjustment, it cuts directly into the margin we use to build and improve #zeitkapsl

We could pass that on. Instead, we’re taking a harder route:
Inhousing our storage layer
Adding a 3rd replication region
Gradually replacing Hetzner and Backblaze S3

Only once everything is tested, including disaster recovery, we will switch production traffic.

Currently following the upload progress, especially on initial library imports on the mobile apps was a bit intransparent.

With the next update, there is a nice upload progress view on the grid as well as in the settings page.
