Ok it took them nearly the full 48 hours they warned me it might take but I got the invite and the platform seems pretty nice. The iPhone app works pretty well too.

Open Loop was a social software and collaboration platform developed by Sun Microsystems. The goal was to create an open-source competitor to products like Microsoft SharePoint and IBM Lotus Connections.
Sun Microsystems was acquired by Oracle in 2010. After the acquisition, Oracle discontinued many of Sun's open-source projects, and Open Loop was one of the casualties.

They changed the policies around #Java so now everyone has to upgrade their code regularly and created the necessity for better testing, regular library updates, semantic versioning and continuous integration. With TikTok they could push the #Fediverse to new heights.
