Just doing my thing. I post mostly random stuff and sometimes about tech or security topics.
My wife, an English professor, explained why she doesn’t use TikTok based on what I’ve explained to her about data security, Chinese govt, etc. and her students actually seemed to listen seriously to her. Have I entered Bizzaro world?
So at a conference where they do a reverse expo. Basically I sit here and vendors pitch me for five minutes. I wish they’d bring some swag but it’s definitely more low key than an exhibit hall.

Mastodon creator @Gargron on Elon Musk:

“I specifically disagree with his stance on free speech, because I think that it depends on your interpretation of what free speech means. If you allow the most intolerant voices to be as loud as they want to, you’re going to shut down voices of different opinions as well. So allowing free speech by just allowing all speech is not actually leading to free speech, it just leads to a cesspit of hate.”

I’ve been thinking on how to define biometrics in the classic something you have, etc mode. But biometrics is what you are. So does it become something you are and something you know? And then what about the fact you can’t simply change those physical aspects unless you’re Nick cage/John travolta.
So. I’m hiring for a senior role. Want to be part of shaping what’s a rapidly emerging area of security related to biometrics and identity? If so check this architect role out. https://boards.greenhouse.io/clear/jobs/4577663?t=549ae49c1us
