At 50 000 signatures, it is automatically submitted to the parliament and undergoes the standard legislative process, including potential debates, review, and vote.
@chatcontrol Yeah, or they just reject it outright as they do with most of these. Borgerforslag is a joke meant to keep you busy and give you a sense of having influence in the legislative process - without giving you any real influence.
But better to have one than not I suppose.
Edit: your work and website enabling people to email MEPs will have a much bigger impact.
@Null03 @chatcontrol Of course. I'm just saying not to interpret this as something which it is not. This is easy to do if you are not familiar with Danish politics.

Every time Mr. Hummelgaard goes to Brussels, he transforms from a Minister (executive branch at the national level) into an EU "Senator" (🇪🇺 legislative branch) who makes and negotiates and votes on EU law as a member of the upper chamber of the EU legislative branch, the #WTFistheCouncil
