At least two lawsuits filed at a top European court allege Russia violated Europe's Human Rights Convention by removing organs from the recently dead without telling relatives. Russia's response: Asking relatives' permission would be "inhumane." Documents provided to the Associated Press detail how Russia is fighting charges over how it harvests organs in two cases submitted to the court last year. Separate decisions are expected in the coming months and could order Russia to rewrite its laws.

They just comply loudly so that it makes more noise looking for a Streisand effect.
The original is not surprising... But these dictators are deluding themselves. Medicine is by far not able to prolong life in any meaningful way beyond 80.
@dangillmor Honestly, I think they’re trolling Donald Trump.
Much of what authoritarians do is a carefully orchestrated show.
Here they get double the effect: Show the weakness of the western media, and project strength while maybe making Trump go through some obscene procedure and hurt himself, furthering the chaos US is plunging the West into.
