To be fair, the HP Elitebook i bought was reconditioned and i don't know how old it is, but it is still snappier, boots faster and VMs performance feels just right, over my Lenovo Ideabook 320.

Considering updating my old 8 GB laptop with a 16 GB SoDim stick and a 1 TB SSD. But for that price, i can instead get almost a second HP Elitebook 840 that already has 16 GB memory and a faster CPU. The laptop i'm considering upgrading is from 2018 so remaining lifetime is unknown...

It's not shit in any way, it's just that it's not that capable as my new laptop. I can fire up twice as many VMs (and store them too) om my 1TB M2 drive.

Still, could be useful to have a backup laptop.

I love it when recruiters tries to explain Cyber Threat Intelligence to me and how their IOC platforms solve everything.

BLOCK problem solved.

Getting almost €3000 back from the tax office for 2025-2026. Neato!

I'm making a website for a company using CSS without any Javascript crap like React, Angular or NodeJS that needs to be updated so the website doesn't become insecure. So i make everything as independent as possible and have everything inline using traditional HTML/CSS code.

But CSS is so fucking weird at times. I set TABLE property to auto adjust to the screen width, but it won't reduce itself unless i also set IMG properties (of images used in the table) to scale to 99% or whatever. It doesn't understand that it should automagically scale everything without you telling it to do so.

02:10, and i got one of those ideas that will keep me awake 2 more hours... think i'm gonna miss my doctors appointment tomorrow.

The youtube algorithm is most of the time like a shitty DJ trying to impress you with shit you mark as "I don't like this video" and starts crying and mass spams your recommendation with similar videos to try to please you... sorry, ITSELF as if it was some teenager with angst and poor self self image who breaks down and cries when you disapprove of the videos it churns out.

Then one night, the algorithm gets drunk and suddenly recommends good videos, only to not repeat it again for 3 months.

Daring to take the step to kill off your Windows licenses is a big one, but once you do, you never look back. So now i got 3 Linux Laptops of which 2 has enough memory to run a couple of VM's.

Your computers also run MUCH faster on Linux as well. Except for one box that uses a mechanical drive, gonna replace it with an SSD when i find one that is around 500 GB.

You have to shake the container from time to time so the coins gets exposure to the liquid and gets affected by it, also when emptying there will be coins who have become affected by other coins, like a cupper coin can leave traces on other coins so you have to do the process all over again.

But given time and several iterations, CocaCola will clean all your coins.
