it's hard to come up with slurs for generative AI users because ideally they should go (noun)(verb)-er

and there aren't that many nouns that work

suggestions welcomed

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q. look, if we throw *mean names* at the AI grifters fucking up everything around us, doesn’t that make us as bad as them? if you really *think* about it.

A. lol no, the fuck is this dumb bullshit, get the fuck out

Q. but

A. no, we need more shame here. much more. also, didn't i tell you to get the fuck out

@davidgerard Slop Peddlers.

@troberts the nouns i have so far are:

slop-
clank/clunk-
prompt-
bot-
chat-
cog-
token-

need to be 1 or 2 syllables for general usability

it's not a lot, need more!

@davidgerard @troberts Slopbarfers (and then ask some AI how many Rs there is in that word)
@davidgerard @troberts slop-sharters, which conveys the uselessness of their output in both halves of the term, and also the sense that they should be embarrassed by what they’re doing
@davidgerard @troberts
GPUnicorn-chasers?
GPUnicorn-believers?
@davidgerard
Depending on how much context you have in the second part, you could use a lot of variations on trash- prefixes: junk- bilge- garbage- drivel- rot- bunk-

@davidgerard demeaner

in reference to the entire technology being a DDOS against knowledge and meaning

@davidgerard Prompt fondler and prompt flogger have had some traction with my Aussie mates - "to flog" means to masturbate as well as to sell something of poor quality in a manner best described as cheap, dirty and fast. But they're far from universal.
@davidgerard
slopslinger
goldbricker
[time]wastrel
vibecoder
@davidgerard
Has anyone told an AI chatbot that they're so useless that they should kill themself?
@davidgerard I've seen "botlicker" used before.

@davidgerard "Sloppers" has quite some traction. I personally also like "botlickers", but "Slopper" works much better in many other languages.

@davidgerard biome-burners because that’s what they’re doing
@davidgerard why not call them skinjobs, pretend humans.
@terranux @davidgerard
That's too kind, IMHO, but if we're going there with that, let's call 'em toasters.

@davidgerard I just came up with a term on the spot, although it doesn't quite fit your noun verber scheme:

Sloperator.

@davidgerard I came up with a few but I think they still need workshopping:

* slopwanker
* tokenhuffer
* brainwaster

I think "slop" has the most potential here.

Bonus runner up: crocksucker

@davidgerard It really doesn't work as a noun slur but "token strokin" rhymes so delightfully that it's gotta be some kind of verb in the same vein as promptfondling.
