Our intro:

Q1. Where are you posting from today?

I swapped bikes with a colleague for a bit and tried a new e-bike. Did you get to try something new this week? (cycle related or not)

@ascentale @bikenite #BikeNite A1: Posting from Zurich, Switzerland, where I just came back from today's Critical Mass ride.

I recently discovered a (for me) new brand of USB-rechargeable bicycle headlights with high and low beam, #MagicShine. I couldn't decide between two models, Hori 1300 and Evo 1700 and they weren't the most expensive ones, so I bought both and—for fun and comparison—mounted both + my Ravemen FR300 "be seen" headlight+powerbank.

→ Mostly good hardware, shitty Android apps

@xtaran @bikenite That's a lot of headlight!
@ascentale @bikenite A1 follow-up: Actually, having both headlights on (or even all three as the Brompton also has a headlight below the front bag, albeit with only a rather narrow low beam) at the same time doesn't really bring any more improvement. So I think you only need more lumens if you're needing a flood light for e.g. downhill biking.
