📢 Big news! I'm shifting from my role at Apple as an Eng Manager (EM) for SwiftUI to a new role as an EM for macOS. My time on SwiftUI was some of the most fun in my career; however, CA never quite felt like home.

This new role offers an amazing opportunity: remote work! [1/2]

Remaining at Apple, working with the brightest individuals I know, *and* working remotely seemed like a far-off dream. But today, it's becoming a reality! I am incredibly grateful and excited for this new chapter.

So, where will my new home be? Stay tuned for further updates :-) [2/2]

@sommer Super happy for you, congrats!! 🫶
@sommer Congratulation!
@sommer I can recommend Edinburgh. ◡̈
@sommer that’s so cool! I love to hear that Apple is making more remote friendly roles. Maybe I need to check the careers page again…
@sommer w00t! Good luck in your new role!
@sommer I think I first started following you (on another platform) when you were traveling across country in a motorhome with Smalltalk.
@sommer congrats! Sounds like a dream!
@sommer Wow - congrats! I'm thrilled that the macOS team is going to get your talents. The Mac is part of my heart and so happy to see awesome people working on it
@sommer 🇳🇴?? There is an Apple office here btw, just no engineering function. Used to work from there when I was at Apple and came home for the summer (sommer 🤭) :)
@romnes perhaps ;-) I actually spent 6 weeks in Oslo last winter and a whole bunch of time hanging out in that office! It's lovely and the folks there are so friendly.
@sommer congrats! Good to hear Apple finally embracing remote work. In terms of new home I’m assuming timezone is a factor, in which case my vote would be anywhere in Canada. If timezone is flexible, almost anywhere in Europe!
