Yeah sure the DS is a thing of dedication and beauty. But then there's the SM. Imagine this released today as an EV.

@ewen I have a very soft spot for the old 'frog' Citroens. My dad was a civil engineer and saw something special in their innovative designs - many things actually. We imported an ID19 sedan and then a few years later a DS21 8 seater which was the first Citroen station wagon in Africa as I recall. Dad used to drive them where Land Rovers feared to go in the bush haha.

There was a time when being an engineer was essential to travelling through the bush!

We take for granted how reliable cars are today. But can't they be beautiful as well?

Sounds like a great fella to call your Dad.
@ewen This is quite modern for 2025 even. What a great car.
@ewen it's a beautiful car but it can't beat my DS21.
@ewen There are a bunch of US cars that have charm - 55 Bel Air, 65 Mustang, 53 Corvette, to name a couple I like - but you really can't beat the Citroën. Beautiful cars. Hopefully, gearheads will embrace electric conversion and keep the good old cars on the roads

@ewen
Citroèn did have made a prototype for it's premium brand, DS, but no news after that.

Urgh. I remember that. All that "reinterpreting" bollocks and all they made was a concept car for press releases.

Always the attitude of "we can do this better now" instead of reflecting on "we used to do this better".
