Public condemnation declarations are basically just PR blowing bollocks when they're declared/repeated without aligning punitive actions.

Pretty sure that I'm not alone in being sick n tired of hearing our governments (all around the world) verbally condemning Israel & USA actions but are doing almost shit-all with any serious punitive actions. I can't listen to their colonial, bigoted BS, PR anymore.

@PhoenixSerenity what was that saying again? "Talk is cheap..."
@Sh4d0w_H34rt Our politicians are basically being paid by lobbyists to keep lying to us. Most of us are fed up with the lies by now.
@PhoenixSerenity yes. From what I've seen historically, at least among US politicians is that they will continue spreading the talking points and taking the bribes up until the point of an overwhelming critical mass public opinion turns against them, then it's shocked indignation. I think we are seeing that now. The whole thing about the status quo, though, is laziness. Taking action requires effort, and corrupt politicians only put effort into the things they are bribed to do.
@Sh4d0w_H34rt It's the same sellout BS all over. Canada is guilty too.
@PhoenixSerenity UK perspective: The UK/US "special relationship" has been strained for a long time, well before Trump. Regarding Israel, they are considered a "strategic partner", most likely one of the few "friends" in the region. As I've experienced, what happens now might not surface for another 30 years (official secrets act limitations) but I do look for "keywords" that might give us clues that all is not well despite the soft language the public might here via the media.
@stevendrowe All hasn't been well for awhile now, as anyone really paying attention knows far too well. I'm 50 years old & saw neoliberalism & fascism creeping back decades ago. It's mostly political moderates or those apathetic to politics who ignored earlier signs of shit we are all witnessing now, who seem surprised.
I'm not surprised but am angry & saddened by present state of the world at large. I had hoped that humanity would have learned to do better by now. Disappointed but still hopeful to see & keep contributing to some sort of progressive changes before my time on Earth is up.

@PhoenixSerenity I was watching some archive footage about climate change from the 1930s. Fast forward to 2025 and I feel ashamed that its my generation who failed the world. While humanity should be addressing that all the $£ goes into blowing people up. Many people are born and are murdered in the same week.

All the stories our grandparents told us about the world wars and fascism during the first part of the last century have fallen on deaf ears. We are in, what I call, a tabloid generation.

@PhoenixSerenity

Me too...And I'm sick that the world is doing nothing for children. Dropping packages by air, won't cut it. I'm ashamed of my nation right now, on so many levels.

@cosmiclibrarian Same here. I've been pissed off at how Canada has bowed down to Israel & their lobbyists & fake ass Zionist orgs for a long time. It's only in recent couple of years have my angry feelings boiled over to outright rageful feelings. We are capable of being much better humanitarians. We are capable of leading the world on this issue.

It's embarrassing that South Park creators have more courage than our politicians.
