@cardamomadddict Austin, Texas was pretty much 100% dog friendly when I'd bring my dog there. My boy went into so many restaurants with me.
The rule changes in the province happened just before and during C19. Only working animals (eg seeing eye dogs) are allowed in dining rooms, but if a restaurant allows it, animals can be let on patios (if they follow certain rules).

In fact, I remember taking my dog into Gumby's to grab pizza rolls immediately following Texas' victory over Ohio State. In the dining room.
