Like a story I heard about something that occurred during the Stoneman Meadow Riots in1970: as the FBI(?) descended on "undesirables" a grad student with a summer job as a ranger smirked and said, "I've never written a ticket!" If an independace movement was to gain exposure from the media, it would draw considerable attention from the government and would be extremely interesting to see how it far it would go.

PieRatThe first way for California to go against this is to pass state law forbidding tax revenue from being sent to the feds.
Then order businesses quit withholding taxes from paychecks. Or redirect those funds to STATE COFFERS.
Maine already threatened this, but seriously, thats Maine. California is 7th largest economy in the world.
