World’s Narrowest Fiat Panda is one anorexic 19-inch-wide EV destined for the record books - Yanko Design

Classic cars often become platforms for bold customization, but few reimaginings are as visually striking (or ugly, I have to admit) as this one. Italian mechanic Andrea Marazzi has transformed a 1993 Fiat Panda into what is now being described as the world’s narrowest functioning car. At just 19.6 inches wide, the one-seater electric vehicle

@bweller "small electric motor borrowed from an e-scooter, paired with a 24V battery... top speed of about 15 kph and a driving range of approximately 25km" seems basic, but do you open the door and lean out in the direction you're turning, or how does that handle, exactly?
@enobacon 😅 sharp turns look like they might be exciting.
@enobacon @bweller I saw a video of it in action on TikTok a few days ago: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTjKQDf4E/

@bweller Good thing the top speed is limited… I wouldn't want to take a corner too sharply with such a narrow 4-wheeled vehicle.

Unlike a bike, this thing can't lean into a corner.

@bweller Endlich kann man mal beide Ellenbogen rausstrecken! 😜
@bweller I'd seen it before, but I genuinely thought it was photoshopped. 😅
@Eetschrijver
I had seen a video some time ago. It can only drive very slowly because it is so narrow and too high that it could tip over.
@bweller

@mrxlix

Couldnt they had trainer wheels to the side like you used to put on kids bikes when they used to drive? 😂

Obviously they'd have to be retractable for parking!

@Eetschrijver @bweller

@Eetschrijver Indeed, I thought it was fake at first also. Too good not to post once I saw it was real. 😄
@bweller literally mindbending. i can *feel* my mind bend as i look at this.
@bweller
It’s too narrow for a license plate. 😄
@bweller Primarily built for the narrow minded, we expect it to sell well in the southern American states.
@bweller One strong gust of wing and that's going to be on its side
@bweller Enjoying the contrast with the attached ads which are for “new Range Rover urban SUVs”
@bweller oooh I want one (but alas, it's one of a kind)
@bweller It's a Beholder! Just needs more eyes.
@bweller it looks like a cropped panoramic photo
@bweller Seems as if this would need outrigger wheels to make turns. Or training wheels?

@bweller okay this is the fuckin greatest thing i have seen in a long while

issa squish panda! so squished! flat panda!

@bweller I can't just look at it. My brain overflows.
@bweller @coreysnipes I have to think that that thing would roll right over every time you turn a corner. It has to be top heavy for its wheelbase. But it is cute.
@bweller at first I thought it was a Piaggo MP3 with a shell around it until I saw the second rear wheel. glorious.
@bweller Schönen Gruß von Onkel Sinclair
@bweller … at first I thought my browser was displaying the images in the wrong aspect ratio … 🧐 😁

@bweller this... is amazing

and terrible

_and_ hilarious

i kind of adore it, it's absolutely the worst at car and that's why

@bweller
... looks down at hips... possible but not comfortable.
@bweller This so needs to go over to Aging Wheels.
@bweller
Under NO circumstances is Aging Wheels to learn of this contraption's existence.
@bweller it looks like Mike Wazowski if he was in Cars xD
@bweller Is that a real thing, or is @NanoRaptor at it again?
@bweller Also I wish people would stop using the word ‘anorexic’ like that. Anorexia is something people die of.
@bweller He'd better not put on any weight...
