small side project from two weeks ago: a microSD "flash memory necklace".
This was the first time I tried the assembly service of the ubiquitous chinese budget PCB company - designed in an hour on a friday afternoon after a conversation with a colleague, ordered the same day and just a week later I had 50pcs in my hand. It's insane.
Just switched back to X11 from Wayland.
I thought I'd give it a try but there are way too many bugs and crashes for my taste.
Moreover, the persistence of Wayland's screencast process even when I'm not capturing sounds very much like the Windows AI feature taking screenshots of the desktop, and this feeds my paranoia.
Finally I noticed the average idle CPU temp with X11 is is now 10°C below what it was on Wayland.
