@carapace The problem with this video is that it is not honest about the fact that the method of gardening used here, the indigenous African #zaï technique, was interrupted due to colonization and that a farmer from Burkina Faso, Yacouba Sawadogo, is responsible for its revival. White ppl cause problems and then position themselves as saviors in remediating those same problems. The propaganda is maddening. #UnitedNations #USAID #gardening #decolonization #permaculture

Andrew Millison has a history of highlighting local people doing great work. It is not a perfect history, and he has in the past given a platform to problematic people/organisations. But overall the impact of his teaching and social outreach is very positive.

The context you provide of this techniques history and past land mismanagement due to colonialism is interesting. Could you provide more info please?
