WE HAVE ALMOST SAVED GAMING.
Or have we? Can we still save it?

All it would have taken was a million signatures from EU citizens.

Don't we have a million gamers in the EU who are eligible to vote?

Here's probably the last update from #StopKillingGames :

The end of Stop Killing Games

YouTube
@liblast It's so sad, after the initial spurge of signatures I was really hopeful, but it died as fast as it started.

@chrastecky It didn't die - it was killed. Thor aka Pirate Games has been spreading lies about what SKG was and trying to convince people it's a terrible idea - he has single-handedly doomed the movement. because he's a pr*ck. Then he fell off when people started realizing he's full of himself, but the damage was already done.

This could still be turned around, there's less than 600000 signatures required (out of a million), but there's a month+ left, and without a few huge YouTubers helping...

@liblast Never heard about that person, YouTubers are not my cup of tea.

Anyway, don't think they're that powerful to singlehandedly bring this to a close, people simply don't know or don't care about this issue.

@chrastecky @liblast While I'm not in the EU so maybe it's different in the areas actually able to petition all I've heard of this in the past year has been two youtube videos and nothing in between, and I hang around in indie game communities where I'd be MORE likely to hear stuff like this. While I'm sure his comments didn't help I'm not so sure that' killed it, it just seems like there was never any real momentum to begin with.

@raptor85 @liblast Yep, pretty much that, no one knows about it.

I voted and convinced two other people to vote as well, though I'm far from the average gamer representative.

@liblast it's sad how one streamer/YouTuber with apparently bad intentions can gaslight people with blatant misinformation to tamper with a campaign that's for the good of people. People should think more with their head rather than being filtered by people they look up to on a website, kinda like TV.
