How do librarians remotely access their computers?

ssh!

@neil I need a mastodon fork that allows for boost, star, and “raise eyebrow”.
@dan @neil

You need a different Fediverse access.
Please have a look at the services
#IceShrimp #Sharkey or #Misskwy.
They can do what you want and much more.

All three belong to the same family, the differences between the three are quite small.
My favourite and the line I use here myself is IceShrimp

@dan well, there are fediverse instances that support reaction emoji that would allow you to react with 🤨 ;)
@neil
@neil Please, Neil, no bad puns before 8 AM 😂

@neil

Again, but quieter.

How do librarians remotely access their computers?

(hopefully your client can do <small> tags; if not open on my instance)

@neil

If they know their history, it'll be

!ssh

@seindal @neil
The history has no secret for librarians
@neil Take my lousy boost, you bastard.
@neil daaaaaaaaad joke *applause*
I had to go to the reference section to work this one out but it was so worth it 😂

@neil I once created a shell for extra sleepy programmers.

zzzsh

@neil
BTW in Germany Fernschreiben or FAX. You do not visit Your workingspace because some of the imbeciles are unfit to handle thermo paper rolls ...

Kidding?

@neil There’s even a picture of this:

@neil this is the you-est joke I think I have ever seen
@neil I feel both somewhat insulted and acknowledged at the same time. Congrats? 😆
@neil This is funny as hell.

@neil
That's awful; I love it.

Well done!

@neil Seen on a license plate frame on a convertible Porsche:

Librarians, Dewey or Don't We?

@neil My school librarian back in high school was a big fan of metal music.

I’m not sure whether she used mosh or ssh.
